Do you ever have a day where you feel like everything is going wrong? You accidentally kick one of your little ones’ toys. You get the room completely clean, walk out to get something, walk back in and your children have COMPLETELY undone what took you hours to get done. You need to go to the store and you know you hung up your keys, but they are nowhere to be found. You look everywhere and nothing…

“Mark 11:23-24, KJV”]For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

There have been so many times that I have not been able to find things. My mindset has always played a huge role in the outcome. There was once a time when I would lose something, I would have several different reactions. Some of them were anger, fear, worry, or panic.

Over the years my mindset has changed. When I misplace something, the first thing I do is ask myself the question; “Where is the last place you saw it?” I stay calm. Then I start praying. I thank God for my many blessings, and for blessing me with the object that I have misplaced. I pray and stay calm because I know that I will find what is missing. I believe that I will have what I say. God tells us in Matthew 17:20 and in Mark 11:23-24 that we shall have what we say. Now do not take that as God will give you anything and everything you want. There are times when God will say no. In the case of you losing something that already belongs to you, I think it is safe to say, that God will show you, in some way, where it is.

I have an example of this very thing. One night, my husband asked me where the diamond earrings were. I told him was not sure, that I had not seen them in a while. So the search began. I was concerned, but I started looking everywhere they would normally land. On top of our safe, on the nightstand or on top of our dresser. Looking in all of those places and the floor around them, and even in the drawers of them…..NOTHING. So I started praying. I started thanking God for our many blessings. I prayed that God would place the earrings in either my husband’s or my hands. All while praying, I had peace. I kept looking. Then I thought, well maybe they were left in the kitchen. So I looked there. Still praying, thanking God for different things, and also praying for forgiveness. Praying that we are forgiven of any sins that we may have committed, both that we were aware of and those that we are not aware of. I also was praying for God to bring to remembrance where we would have put them, or lead me and my husband to them. At this point, I had checked everywhere I could think. I even went as far as checking the vacuum cleaner, because I had vacuumed the day before. I kept getting a pull to check the trash can in the kitchen while I was praying. At the same time, I was sure that I would not have thrown away diamonds. I mean come on….. who would throw away their expensive earrings. I continued to pray and thank God for all he does for us, and I just knew that we were going to see them soon. I finally decided to check the trash in the kitchen. Earlier in the day, I had taken the trash out of our bedroom that was beside our nightstand. I took the bag out of the kitchen trash and began to pull everything out of it one by one. All the while praying and thanking God for either my husband or me having the earrings in our hands. Then I found one of the earrings on a tissue. I was excited and started thanking God for placing one in my hand and kept thanking him for us having them both. I got everything pulled out of the trash bag and right in the bottom of the bag, the very last thing in there was the last earring. I was so relieved! I thanked God and gave him all the praise and just kept thanking Him. Another reason I was praising was that, well of course I found the earrings, but that He kept giving me the pull to check the trash. Not only that but just before my husband asked where they were, I was getting ready to take the kitchen trash out to the big trash can outside. I am telling you God is good! I never stopped praying the entire time. I believe because of this, I kept an overwhelming peace and never panicked. I just knew I was going to find them, and I knew that God was leading my steps and it was just a matter of time and I would have them in my hands, or my husband would have them in his hands.

I am going to say a prayer for you. Have you lost an item? You know it is somewhere in the house, in your car, somewhere personal, but you just have not had any luck. This is my prayer for you.

Prayer for a lost item…

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today because something has been lost. You say in Mark 11 in verses 23 and 24 that if we command a mountain to be removed and be cast into the sea, that as long as there is no doubt in our hearts and we believe that we will have the things that we say, that they will come to pass and we will have what we say. Heavenly Father, we come in agreement that the (insert item lost) is found. We stand boldly on your word and claim that (insert item lost) is found. Thank you for showing (Your name) where this item is. Thank you for bringing it to memory where this item is . We praise you for (insert item lost) and we thank you for it. You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. We thank you Jesus for all you do for (Your name) daily. We ask and thank you that the (insert item lost) is found. We come together in agreement, are believing and not doubting that (insert item lost)is found. (insert item lost) belongs to (Your name) because of you. Thank you Jesus for your kindness and mercy. We thank you that (insert item lost) is in (Your name)”s hand. Thank you for showing (Your name) where the (insert item missing) is. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Have an amazing day my Mom’en It friend!
